New OfficeMax Business Solutions Center Arrives to Serve Chicago Entrepreneurs and Local Businesses

OfficeMax() Incorporated (NYSE:OMX) today announced the opening of its first Chicago-area OfficeMax Business Solutions Center, an innovative new store format designed to serve the needs of local entrepreneurs and businesses. Located at 550 N. St. Clair St. in Chicago’s business-rich Streeterville neighborhood north of The Loop, the new service-centric store provides local businesses with a portfolio of specially-tailored services and solutions including designed marketing, web, document, IT and shipping services. A specialized Business Solutions Adviser is also located onsite to ensure customers receive the responsive, personalized service and relevant tools they are seeking to help them take their businesses to the next level.

In celebration of the opening, OfficeMax welcomed neighborhood business owners to explore the new location and to learn more about the differentiated services and expertise available through the store and its team members. “OfficeMax understands that small businesses and entrepreneurs experience different needs as they grow,” said Michael Lewis, executive vice president and president of Retail at OfficeMax. “We want local businesses in our community to know that they don’t have to go it alone. Every step of the process – from formalizing your business to setting up your website and marketing – will be available through the OfficeMax Business Solutions Center.”
Added Kristin Muntean, vice president, Strategic Initiatives and Innovation at OfficeMax, “From our in-store Business Solutions Adviser to our specially-designed services such as web site development and workspace design, our new store incorporates feedback from business owners in Chicago and across the nation.”
Business-critical services are at the heart of the 3,900-square-foot Streeterville retail space, including subscription IT services; PC security; computer maintenance and repair; website design; custom print and document services, marketing support; and tools to organize and manage workspaces, including cloud storage.
Accompanying the array of business services, the OfficeMax Business Solutions Center will provide curated product assortments, ranging from necessities such as paper, pens, ink and toner, to must-have technology products such as convertible laptops, smart phones and business-quality printers and shredders. Customers can also access the full portfolio of OfficeMax products and offerings via an “endless aisle” – an in-store online kiosk where products can be purchased and shipped directly to the customer.
