PepsiCo, Favini, Stora Enso, and De La Rue Headline at Specialty Papers 2013

Tuesday 23. July 2013 - Specialty Papers 2013 will take place 6-8 November in Stuttgart, Germany

Smithers Pira and Tappi are pleased to announce the Specialty Papers 2013 agenda. This 5th annual edition of the conference will take place 6-8 November 2013 at the Le Méridien Stuttgart. The conference will be preceded by a tour of Voith Paper. With support from the advisory board, Tappi and Smithers Pira have formed an event featuring more than 18 presentations the world’s leading specialty paper organisations.
“We are so excited to announce this agenda. There are a lot ‘firsts’ for the programme. This is the first year we will have a security paper manufacturer present. Dr. Philip Cooper, Consultant R&D, De La Rue will have a presentation on harvesting energy into paper with the potential of mobile phones being the power source. This type innovation is a constant throughout the programme with presentations that focus on pushing the industry forward,” said Barbara Fowler, Conference Director, Smithers Pira. “On top of that, we also have more paper mills speaking than we ever have before, and for the first time a major brand owner will join us. Sandeep Kulkarni, Senior Principal Scientist for PepsiCo will provide representation for the end user perspective. What really puts this conference on top is bringing attendees representations from the entire supply chain; from paper mills to Pepsi, raw materials to end users, Specialty Papers 2013 has it all!”
The Specialty Papers 2013 agenda will feature presentations from Stora Enso, Smart Planet Technologies, Smithers Pira, Intertek, Favini, Södra Innovation & Sustainability, Xylophane AB, Centre Technique du Papier, PepsiCo Advanced Research, and Canfor Pulp. Joining them will be BASF, Fedrigoni SpA, De La Rue, Ynvisible, Kelheim Fibres GmbH, Papiertechnische Stiftung, Omya Development AG, and Frenzelit.
