All-encompassing Mimaki experience at Sign & Digital UK

Monday 13. May 2013 - Mimaki's exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland, Hybrid Services gave visitors to the recent Sign & Digital UK exhibition an all encompassing experience on its stand as it launched three new products, demonstrated a wide selection of Mimaki printers, created a wealth of different application ideas and offered advice, support and inspiration via the Mimaki Learning Zone.

Hybrid hosted three major product launches during the exhibition including the production dye sublimation Mimaki TS500 inkjet printer that generated high volumes of bespoke soft furnishings throughout the show. With finished products from The Image Group on show to demonstrate how metres of print can be made into beautiful pieces of furniture, visitors were easily able to make the leap from transfer paper to tub chair. Also making its debut was the new, top of the range, flatbed LED UV Mimaki JFX500 printer producing high calibre signage and display boards and, finally, the high end A2 format flatbed LED UV Mimaki UJF-6042 showcased a selection of high quality packaging proofing.
The Mimaki TS34-1800A dye sublimation printer was demonstrated producing sportswear, with finished kit from Kukri Sportswear on display – manufactured on the company’s own suite of Mimaki printers.
In addition to having the unique chance of getting up close and personal with the new printers, and following its success at last year’s Sign & Digital show, the Mimaki Learning Zone was a central feature to Hybrid’s stand, where visitors were able to speak directly to experienced members of the Hybrid team about technical support, application ideas, finding new revenue streams and producing profit centres for their companies.
“The Mimaki Learning Zone gave our visitors a unique opportunity to have time face-to-face with a dedicated member of our team where they could ask about all aspects of buying and running a Mimaki printer, and receive valuable ideas and information,” said marketing manager, Duncan Jefferies. “After the success of the Wide Format Wave learning and applications event we hosted earlier this year we felt having a real focus on looking at new ways to make money with your Mimaki should be fundamental to the Sign & Digital UK experience on offer at Hybrid’s stand.”
All across Hybrid’s stand it was possible to see many different applications being produced from wallpaper printing, high-end acrylic photo blocks and rigid signage, to gift personalisation, die-cut decals and sportswear. Couple these with the Mimaki JV400 latex printer running the world’s first white latex ink to generate two way window graphics and it’s easy to see why the team were kept busy throughout the exhibition.
