Gruner + Jahr acquires Indian Seventynine

Friday 08. February 2013 - Europe's leading magazine publisher, Gruner + Jahr, has purchased Seventynine, an ad network in the mobile market, thereby expanding its operations in the mobile marketing segment in India. Following the purchase of Networkplay, Seventynine is the second digital marketing company which Gruner + Jahr has bought in India.

Seventynine was established in April 2012 and is the fastest-growing mobile ad network in India. The company will continue to operate as an independent business unit of Networkplay, another subsidiary of G+J India. Chirag Shah and Deven Dharamdasani, the founders of Seventynine, will remain in charge of business at their successful start-up.
