Relaunch of the Pfleiderer Group with new product and sales concept
The Supervisory Board of Pfleiderer AG has appointed Mr. Michael Wolff (52) as member of the Executive Board and Spokesman of the Executive Board effective 1 January 2013. Also effective on 1 January 2013, Mr. Richard Mayer (50) has been appointed as Executive Board member (Chief Financial Officer) for the company.
The two current Executive Board members Hans-Joachim Ziems and Elmar Geissinger have resigned as board members effective 31 December 2012 and will be parting ways with the company on that date. As previously announced, this step follows the successful reorganisation of the Pfleiderer Group. The Supervisory Board sincerely thanks Mr. Ziems and Mr. Geissinger for their extraordinary performance and achievements in the course of a highly complex reorganisation and realignment of the engineered wood manufacturer group.
Michael Wolff, the future Spokesman of the Executive Board, has been active in the Pfleiderer Group since 2004. He will be performing his duties as Executive Board member in addition to his current functions as Chairman of the Board for the Business Centre Western Europe and of Pfleiderer Holzwerkstoffe GmbH with headquarters in Neumarkt/Upper Palatinate. Since December 2011, Wolff has also held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the listed company Pfleiderer Grajewo S.A. in Poland (Pfleiderer share: 65 %), which represents the group’s Business Centre Eastern Europe. Michael Wolff has played a major role in the reorganisation and development of the Western European business. Mr. Richard Mayer (50) is joining the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He worked more than 17 years for Wacker Neuson SE, a group for construction and compact machines listed in the SDax, thereof 12 years as member of the Executive Board. Mr. Richard Mayer is a business administration graduate with extensive experience in classic business management functions as well as the optimisation of business processes. Michael Wolff: “Pfleiderer is now in a position to focus all of its energy on the future and on business operations. We have made good use of this year for the further development of our market strategy as well as our products and services, in addition to strengthening our market presence. Starting in 2013, we are presenting ourselves to our customers exclusively under the Pfleiderer umbrella brand. In doing so, we see ourselves as an integrated supplier of high-quality and sustainable engineered wood products with extensive expertise in the areas of decorative surfaces and services. We have harmonised sales and will have a strong focus on the industry, distributor and commercial business sectors. The new world of Pfleiderer will be presented to the public at the BAU 2013 trade fair in Munich in mid-January. With the new organisation we are heading into the new year with confidence.”
