Special solutions for the hand-made product sector and for industrial-scale packers

Monday 03. December 2012 - MULTIVAC will be represented at IFFA (Hall 4.1. and 11.1.), the largest international exhibition for the meat industry, in Frankfurt from the 4. to 9. May 2013. In Halls 4.1 and 11.1 on two exhibition stands dedicated to specific tar-get groups, the packaging specialist from the Allgäu region will be presenting its special solutions for both the hand-made product sector and for industrial processors.

Hall 4.1 is dedicated to the core theme of “Selling your product – everything to do with the speciality meat business”. Here MULTI-VAC will be showing its comprehensive range of packaging solutions, which are aimed at the packing of small batches. The machines are characterised by their small footprint, their simple operation and a very good price-to-performance ratio, which means that they enable even small and medium-sized producers of hand made products to make the entry into automatic packing. “In recent years we have received an ever greater number of enquiries from this sector, and we have therefore extended our product range to include high-performance entry-level machines – and in all our product areas of thermoforming packaging machines, traysealers and chamber machines”, says Valeska Haux, Marketing Manager at MULTIVAC.
Hall 11.1, Solutions for industrial-scale packers.
MULTIVAC will be showing integrated packaging lines, as well as solutions for the special requirements of industrial-scale processors, in the new exhibition hall 11. MULTIVAC does not only have a very large range of high-performance thermoforming packaging machines, traysealers and chamber machines, it also offers a wide spectrum of solutions for automation. This product spectrum extends from single or multi-track conveyor systems to handling modules, which can be equipped with multi-axis robots. MULTIVAC has also further expanded its product range significantly in line automation, robotics and palletising systems.
“The requirements of companies in the meat-processing industry with regard to the automation of their processes are becoming increasingly more individual. This means that the automation solutions, which we show at exhibitions, are only ever a small part of the many possible versions available. It can only be established what the customer actually wants, and does not want, from automation, after we have conducted intensive discussions and application trials, which, as a global supplier, we can of course offer on a worldwide basis thanks to our tightly-knit network of sales and ser-vice organisations”, says Haux.
High pressure processing of foods
In addition to this, MULTIVAC will also be presenting at IFFA 2013 its extensive expertise in the area of HPP technology. In 2011, as a result of several new patented developments, MULTIVAC succeed-ed in integrating high-pressure processing into automated packag-ing lines and also applying this to MAP packs.
The MULTIVAC daughter company, MULTIVAC Marking & Inspection, will also be showing in Frankfurt its latest developments in the areas of product marking and quality inspection.
MYLAR COOK
MULTIVAC will also be presenting for the first time at IFFA the innovative MYLAR COOK packaging concept, which was developed by Dupont Teijin Films.
MYLAR COOK films are thermoformable films, which were specially developed for the preparation of food in the high temperature range up to 218 degrees Celsius. The food is cooked in the oven or in the microwave in its sealed pack. Thanks to this process, the aromas, vitamins, minerals and inherent moisture of the product are largely retained during the cooking process. The material is available exclusively from MULTIVAC in Europe, Oceania and on the American continent. The packaging specialist from the Allgäu region also of course supplies all the suitable packaging machines
