Pantone Collaborates with Behance to Launch PANTONE Canvas
Tuesday 30. October 2012 - A New Creative Network Provides Creatives with an Innovative Platform to Showcase and Promote Digital Portfolios of their Work
Pantone LLC, an X-Rite company and the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, today announced the launch of PANTONE Canvas, a free online creative network powered by Behance. PANTONE Canvas is the first and only network built on the Behance platform with the ability to filter projects by color.
PANTONE Canvas lets designers showcase and promote their work through digital portfolios to millions of creative users worldwide to connect with other creatives and potential clients. Users can upload an unlimited number of digital images to create an online portfolio that can be accessed from anywhere, including on mobile devices – making it easy for professionals to present their creative work during client meetings and interviews.
Creatives can also sync their PANTONE Canvas and LinkedIn profiles with their account, allowing potential employers to view their portfolio directly from their LinkedIn profile. In addition, PANTONE Canvas users have the opportunity for increased exposure, as Pantone will curate and promote the most innovative work on its website, www.pantone.com, and social media channels.
“Today’s employers are recruiting designers based on their talent and not on their location. PANTONE Canvas is designed to introduce and connect the best creative talent with potential clients and employers,” explained Giovanni Marra, director of corporate marketing at Pantone. “Additionally, it’s a great way to share work and gather inspiration from other like-minded creative professionals.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Pantone, one of the most iconic brands in the global creative community. For the first time, with PANTONE Canvas, the creative world’s work can now be sorted by color,” said Alex Krug, vice president of Behance.
