digi:media 2013: Positive Feedback from the Market
Monday 08. October 2012 - Congress trade fair returns with a comprehensive supporting programme / Media Mundo features for the fifth time / Broad network of partnerships reflects the market
In its second edition digi:media 2013, trade fair for commercial publishing & digital printing, is meeting with positive feedback in the sector – and this goes for both the trade fair and the varied specialist programme. The solutions-oriented approach of the congress and the consistent focus on the interests of the different visitor groups are particularly welcomed,” says Manuel Mataré, digi:media Director in his interim assessment with just under 6 months to go until digi:media 2013.
In line with the motto “content meets technology meets business” digi:media is designed as a solutions-oriented congress trade fair for cross-media communication covering all media channels – or in other words: it is about “communication with all tools and on all channels.” Regardless of whether the focus is on newspapers, magazine, books, corporate publishing, marketing, mailing or advertising campaigns the successful triad of content, technology and business are always centrestage when relevant workflows are required for successful business models. Correspondingly, digi:media is aimed at creative and advertising agencies, print service providers, copy and letter shops, marketing decision-makers and the publishing sector.
The positive feedback from the industry is reflected in the current level of registrations: exhibition space has already been sold in the four-digit range. Exhibitors registering so far include: apps4print, Esko, FKS, HP, Horizon, Hunkeler, Kinetik, Kolbus, Kollin Mediengesellschaft, Neo7even, Printdata, Ricoh, Scodix, trivet.net and Werk II. Many other firms from the most varied of segments are also just about to sign up. A forecast 160 exhibitors or so will feature at digi:media. It is primarily the solutions-oriented workflow approach at digi:media that convinces people in the industry – such as Wolfgang Boretius, Managing Director at trivet.net: “Our aim is to address customers who think in a process-oriented manner and who seek solutions to organise and optimise the marketing management in their companies. Which is why we are delighted to be able to feature at digi:media 2013 so we can present trivet.net’s comprehensive “out-of-the-box” solutions to the specific target groups. The processing industry also values digi:media’s objectives. Commenting on this Jörg Stutz, Managing Director at FKS, said: “The trade fair’s approach of including not only classic print service providers but also print buyers and content creators in canvassing is particularly interesting.” This view is shared by Kai Büntemeyer (Kolbus MD) who “as an exhibitor of the first hour” aimed to “develop an event where content, technology and business models are given equal weighting.”
Strong Network of Cooperations and Media Partners
Talks with potential cooperation and media partners are also going well. Already like at the premiere, once again awaiting the different visitor groups at the forthcoming fair from 10 to 12 April will be a broad-based supporting programme on the different lecture stages. Whether print service providers, advertising or creative agencies, publishing houses or marketeers – every one of the addressed visitor target groups will find their event in Düsseldorf. This comprehensive programme of events reflecting the entire workflow is made possible by the network of strategic partnerships that Messe Düsseldorf has concluded with relevant sectoral associations, publishing houses and sectoral initiatives. “The conceptual and early involvement of visitor target groups in digi:media is particularly important to us,” says Manuel Mataré underlining this strategic approach. “This also means we can guarantee to our exhibitors that their customers will come to the fair. In turn this has reinforced digi:media’s credibility and acceptance levels.”
Media Mundo: Congress for Sustainable Media Production
On 10 and 11 April the media producers’ association Fachverband Medienproduktioner will be organising the 5th Media Mundo Congress for Sustainable Media Production in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf and numerous partners and NGOs from the industry. “For us at the media producers’ association and for our members digi:media is a key component in today’s knowledge transfer. The lecture forums on site and the innovative technology presentations from exhibitors make the trade fair virtually a must,” says Rüdiger Maass, fmp Managing Director, stressing the importance of digi:media. “Add to this the fact that the fair is vital as an annual event in order to cater to the rapid changes, innovations and novelties in the sector.”
