Ricoh Americas earns spot on 2012 InformationWeek 500 list of top technology innovators across America
Thursday 13. September 2012 - Ricoh Americas Corporation today announced it made this year's InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation's most innovative users of business technology. The annual list was revealed last night at a gala awards ceremony at the exclusive InformationWeek 500 Conference which took place at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, Calif.
“The InformationWeek 500 has recognized the most innovative users of business technology for 24 years, and this year’s innovators were particularly impressive,” said InformationWeek Editor-in-Chief Rob Preston. “What the editors looked for were unconventional approaches — new technologies, new models, new ways of grabbing business opportunities and solving complex business problems with IT.”
Ricoh was recognized by InformationWeek in part for the successful implementation of its cohesive sales automation program, a business technology initiative that supported the integration of Ricoh and IKON Office Solutions, which Ricoh acquired in 2008.
“It is an honor for Ricoh to be recognized as a leader in information technology by such a prestigious IT publication as InformationWeek. Ricoh’s success has been driven by the growing need for comprehensive information management solutions that are designed to address today’s toughest business challenges such as globalization, mobility and information overload, to name a few. Our position on this year’s InformationWeek500 list illustrates our strong growth in these arenas over the past year,” said Tracey Rothenberger, CIO of Ricoh Americas.
InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation’s most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing, and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of America’s best-known companies. Past overall winners include PACCAR Inc., The Vanguard Group, CME Group, National Semiconductor, Con-Way and Principal Financial Group. The InformationWeek 500 rankings are unique among corporate rankings as it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.
