Pfleiderer: Sale of Uniboard completed

Thursday 06. September 2012 - Pfleiderer Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Pfleiderer AG (ISIN DE0006764749), has entered into an agreement to sell Uniboard Canada Inc. to a subsidiary of Kaycan Ltd. Uniboard Canada is a North American leader in engineered wood products producing Particleboard, MDF, Thermally Fused Melamin and Laminate Flooring. Closing of the transaction is expected in the third quarter 2012 subject to certain terms and conditions.

As part of the ongoing restructuring programme, Pfleiderer AG last year announced the planned sale of its North American operations. In December 2011, Pfleiderer had already announced the sale of US-American operations at Moncure, part of Uniboard Group. With the agreement to sell the Canadian operations, the sale of Uniboard is now completed.
