SkyDesk Cards Enterprise Enhances Management of Business Cards to Help Create New Business Opportunities

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. today begins offering a paid service for the Cards application of its SkyDesk ServiceNote1, a business communication support service that was launched for free of charge on August 23, 2011. The new service, SkyDesk Cards Enterprise, offers enhanced function for business cards management, accommodating a more organizational user environment.
SkyDesk Cards is an application that facilitates easy registration, management and sharing of business card data. Users only need to scan business cards and check or correct the optical character recognition (OCR) text before they register the data. They can also register business card data by taking a photo of the card with a smartphone. Customer data can be managed with an image of their business cards to make it easier to memorize and locate the information. Registered data can be shared within an organization, and added with related information such as the progress of business negotiations, thereby users can use the service as a customer information management tool.

Organizational sharing of more business card information
SkyDesk Cards Enterprise allows each user to register up to 3,000 business cards (1,000 per user for the paid SkyDesk Cards Professional service). The maximum number of business card data that can be shared among the members of an Organization, which consists of registered SkyDesk users, is also increased to 30,000 (15,000 for SkyDesk Cards Professional). The ability to enable large-scale and organizational sharing of business card data helps enterprises build a full-fledged business communication environment.
Scanning multiple business cards for batch registration
As a new function, after multiple business cards are scanned together, the application automatically identifies the individual business cards, and registers them as separate data. When each of the business cards is flipped over at the same position for a reverse-side scan, the application matches individual sets of data with the corresponding front-side information for simultaneous registration. The new function streamlines the registration of a large amount of business card data.
