Improved Grafiprint laminates

Tuesday 10. July 2012 - Grafityp are always striving to improve their existing product range in addition to developing new products. The company have considerably improved the quality of their cast Grafiprint laminates LAM040 and LAM045.

Due to Reach regulations it will no longer be possible to use a number of raw materials within Europe as from 2015. Grafityp therefore had to start searching for alternatives for these raw materials. With the introduction of these new materials Grafityp have managed to improve the life span of their cast Grafiprint laminates. So you can see that stricter environmental legislation can in some cases contribute to product improvement !
Grafiprint LAM040 and LAM045 will in the future be replaced by their improved versions LAMX40 (glossy) and LAMX45 (matt). These new laminates are identical to the previous version except that their UV resistance and the gloss of LAMX40 are improved.
The UV-resistance of the cast laminates has been increased by about 25%, which will give a longer outdoor life. LAM040 and LAM045 had an outdoor life span of 4 to 5 years – LAMX40 and LAMX45 will have a life span of 5 to 6 years in Central-European conditions and when applied vertically. LAMX40 will also have a higher gloss than the former LAM040.
The new laminates LAMX40 and LAMX45 will be delivered automatically once the currenct stocks of LAM040 and LAM045 are no longer available. Some widths are already being supplied in the new improved quality.
