NEW NORDIC SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER FOR PETAINER
Wednesday 04. May 2011 - Hans Tranheden has been appointed as sales and marketing manager for the Nordic region by specialist plastics packaging technology business Petainer - after spending only a single day in his job before joining Petainer.
Hans joined the market support and internal sales department of PET packaging manufacturer Rostiprimpac AB in Norrkoping, Sweden, in November 2010. The day after he joined the company, Rostiprimpac was purchased by Petainer.
Now Hans responsibilities have been increased to include sales of Petainer products and services across Sweden. In addition, he will take the lead in selling the companys products for household and industrial chemicals throughout the Nordic region. Petainer offers a range of PET packaging for chemical products ranging from bathroom cleaners and hair care products to industrial solvents and polishes, many of them UN-approved for the chemicals market.
Petainer group chief executive Nigel Pritchard said: “We were delighted that our acquisition of Rostiprimpac included Hans!
“In his new role he will help us to build on our position as the industry leader in sustainability, focusing on sustainable technologies and material efficiency to deliver environmentally-friendly packaging.”
Hans has considerable experience in the packaging industry. Before joining Rostiprimpac, he was a sales manager for NT Etikett AB where he was responsible for increasing the companys sales of self-adhesive, in-mould and wrap-around labels. Prior to that he worked for StoraEnso Packaging AB in a variety of roles focused on the sale of corrugated packaging for the food and dairy industry.
Hans said: “Although my move to Petainer was unexpected, it is great to be working with a company that is establishing clear technology leadership in the packaging industry.”
Hans lives with his wife Josephine and three children in Tranås, Sweden.
