Océ expands imageRUNNER offerings with LBP series desktop printers
Tuesday 03. May 2011 - Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series models bring greater energy efficiency and productivity to Océ customers
Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that Océ North America Document Printing Systems has begun selling the Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series of desktop laser printers. These cost-effective, highly productive color and black & white desktop printers offer an effective solution for general business document printing.
The Color imageRUNNER LBP5460 printer and the imageRUNNER LBP3560/3470 models can easily integrate into an existing imageRUNNER fleet infrastructure by providing a highly consistent set of management tools, support interfaces and common print drivers to reduce training times. The models feature many of the same technologies that bring high quality and productivity to Canon’s imageRUNNER line of devices but in a smaller footprint, including refined device usage accounting capability and optional wireless LAN support (the imageRUNNER LBP3470 does not support Department ID or wireless LAN). The printers also include a UFR II print controller, PCL support and PostScript3 emulation support.
“The Canon imageRUNNER laser beam printers are an ideal solution for every office environment and budget,” said John Reilly, President, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems. “They deliver a blend of productivity, security and convenience to offices looking to bring greater reliability to their offices or support their existing imageRUNNER multifunctional printers.”
With enhanced productivity and functionality, the color and black & white models bring professional quality and standard automatic duplex printing to workgroups. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5460 printer outputs color and monochrome documents at up to 31 ppm (letter), while the imageRUNNER LBP3560 produces crisp black & white prints at up to 42 ppm (letter) and the LBP3470 prints at up to 35 ppm. All of the models also feature standard cassettes that support a variety of paper types and sizes and a multi-purpose tray offers even greater flexibility to receive even more media types and sizes.
“We are excited to bring Canon’s imageRUNNER LBP Series printers to Océ customers,” said Sam Yoshida, Vice President and General Manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A., “Canon imageRUNNER LBP Series is a cost-effective solution utilized by workgroups to deliver a unique blend of power and ease-of-use in a desktop device.”
Greater device tracking and management is possible, as the Color imageRUNNER LBP5460 printer and the imageRUNNER LBP3560 model feature a soft counter system that enables users to obtain usage accounting reports at the device or remotely through the remote user interface or imageWARE Remote. The models can also be managed with imageWARE Enterprise Management Console.
To further help offices control costs, all models are ENERGY STAR qualified, with the LBP5460 using 1.8 W of power in Deep Sleep Mode and the LBP3560/3460 drawing 1.2 W and 5 W in Deep Sleep mode, respectively.
For greater accessibility, all models feature front-load access to printing supplies so users can easily replace toner and paper when they need to. The imageRUNNER LBP3560/3470 models even employ a closing assist mechanism that enables users to open and close paper cassettes with ease (available on imageRUNNER LBP3470 only with optional cassette). In addition, customer-replaceable components may be easily maintained.
