Zünd at Fespa 2011 – Automation at its best
Tuesday 24. May 2011 - "Automation" is the focus of this years Fespa. Fittingly, the worlds most efficient digital cutter is now available with a fully automated board loading and unloading system. Increased productivity and unattended overnight operation are just a couple of the advantages of the new Zünd Board Handling System.
Process reliability and automation
Needless to say, this new automation feature is modular just like everything else that is part of the Zünd modular cutter concept and can be implemented in several steps. With the Zünd board-handling system, loading and unloading of the material onto the machine become fully automated and require no operator intervention. Setup is limited to loading stacked goods. The Zünd Cut Center Software, as always, ensures user-friendly operation. All of this results in significantly enhanced productivity while limiting personnel requirements to loading and unloading pallets of stacked boards and finished product.
In developing the automated material-handling system, care was taken to not lose sight of the need for processing shorter runs and even single boards. The accessibility and ergonomic design of the system make it possible to process small orders easily and efficiently. Whether for shorter or longer production runs, the innovative Zünd board-handling system is the ticket to greater efficiency and new opportunities.
Efficient processing of up to 3m/10ft wide rolls of fabric, cutting at several different angles with the V-cut tool, routing of softer metals and up to 50mm/2″ graphics in 3D all will be shown at Fespa Digital in Hamburg, Germany, Hall A1, Booth B20. In addition, we will be demonstrating the Print & Cut Workflow with Caldera and Prepare-it Software, plus many new Zünd Cut Center features.
