Marquis Imprimeur Receives Funding from Government of Canada to Bolster Productivity

Monday 14. March 2011 - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, Bernard Généreux, Member of Parliament for Montmagny-L'Islet-Kamouraska-Rivière-du-Loup, today announced the awarding of $150,000 in repayable funding to the firm Marquis Imprimeur.

“The Government of Canada is investing sustained effort to help small and medium-sized enterprises improve their productivity and expand into foreign markets,” stated Mr. Généreux.
The financing of growth-generating initiatives like this Marquis Imprimeur project is made possible through the Community Adjustment Fund, a measure provided for in the Government of Canada’s economic action plan. The firm will use this financial assistance to acquire a second rotary press to better meet the demands of its European customers.
In business for more than 75 years, Marquis Imprimeur operates two print shops, one in Cap-Saint-Ignace and the other in Montmagny. The company offers such specialty niche services as European format and short- to medium-run printing.
“Canada Economic Development is pleased to lend its financial support to Marquis Imprimeur, an enterprise that is taking concrete steps to raise its productivity while contributing to the economic diversification of the region,” added Minister of State Lebel.
