LFP - Large-Format-Printing
Epson out in force at Sign & Digital UK 2011
Tuesday 08. March 2011 - Epson wide format inkjet printers to demonstrate range of display and signage applications on a wealth of substrates at the Birmingham NEC, 12-14 April 2011
Epson and its strategic sales partners showcase a range of aqueous and solvent inkjet printers at Sign & Digital UK 2011, using the show as a platform to demonstrate that Epson has a wide-format solution to suit every type of business. Its highly-flexible printers are put through their paces demonstrating point-of-sale, exhibition and back-lit graphics, photographic displays, fine-art reproduction, textile printing and more.
Between them, CWE Solutions (Stand C46), Graphic Printing Technologies (Stand C20) and Spandex (Stand D40) all exhibit models from Epsons roll-fed high-quality imaging range including the high-resolution 64in Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 eco-solvent type printer and the 64in aqueous inkjet Epson Stylus Pro11880 and 44in Epson Stylus Pro 9700 printers.
In Spandexs Textile & Soft Signage Application Zone, Epson’s Stylus Pro GS6000 is printing textile signage on ImagePerfect 2314 textile material using Epsons 8-colour UltraChrome GS eco-solvent type ink set to inspire visitors to take advantage of the growing textile and soft signage market.
The Stylus Pro GS6000 has a maximum print resolution of 1440dpi and is capable of printing 25.2m²/h (720x360dpi) on a range of substrates from canvas to adhesive vinyl. Epsons advanced printhead technology makes it perfect for photographic reproduction or limited edition prints and the wide choice of media offers outstanding flexibility – printing trade show stands, high quality signage or fabric proofs, quickly and easily.
Driven by Epsons passion for extreme colour gamut and photographic print quality, the Stylus Pro GS6000 uses the high-performance UltraChrome GS ink technology, an 8-colour eco-solvent type ink set (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Light Cyan, Light Magenta + Orange and Green) which requires no additional ventilation during production. This inkset allows the production of high-impact, high quality durable prints, enabling printers, copy shops and sign shops to extend their business into higher quality and more demanding outdoor applications.
Epsons 44in Stylus Pro 9700 is optimised to work with a five colour UltraChrome Vivid Magenta ink set, incorporating cyan, vivid magenta, yellow, photo-black and matte-black. Vivid Magenta technology gives a wider colour gamut for enhanced colour accuracy. Particularly noticeable on blues, magentas, reds and oranges, prints have a more natural and life-like appearance. For convenience, added productivity and reduced costs, the printer automatically selects the optimum black ink – photo or matte – to match the media.
The exceptionally fast 64in Stylus Pro 11880 has a maximum print speed of 35.4m²/h, yet the UltraChrome inkset – with Vivid Magenta – means it doesnt compromise on quality and is economical to own. The Stylus Pro 11880s exceptional speed and quality is down to Epsons inkjet technology that pushes the limits of photo-quality imaging across a huge range of media including ultra smooth fine art paper, matte finish, gloss finish or rigid poster board for high quality cut sheet output.
Martin Johns, market development manager, Pro Graphics, Epson UK says: “Sign & Digital UK is always an important date in the calendar for Epson and were delighted to be so well represented at the show. There is renewed importance this year too, as a number of exciting opportunities are opening up in the market for signmakers to diversify their offering to their customers. Experts from Epson will be present on each of our strategic partners stands, ensuring visitors will have a wealth of knowledge to tap into when assessing which solution is the right solution to take their business forward.”
