CNA Broadens Coverage Availability in Its Printing and Graphic Imaging Program
Monday 31. January 2011 - CNA recently announced an enhancement to its current coverages for printers and publishers. The global business insurer has broadened the scope of coverage available in its Printing and Graphic Imaging (PGI) program with the addition of the Correction of Work endorsement. Offered exclusively through CNA's PGI program, the Correction of Work endorsement reimburses printers and publishers for expenses arising out of corrections to their work product.
“As providers of insurance for printers and publishers since 1995, CNA has developed deep knowledge in this field, leading us to enhance our program with the creation of this new Correction of Work endorsement,” said Steve Earley, vice president of Manufacturing, CNA. “This endorsement represents one more step toward our goal to become the carrier of choice for manufacturers.”
The Correction of Work endorsement defends and pays third-party claims that may arise when a printer’s customer chooses to retain a different printer to correct the work, then sues the original printer for reimbursement. The endorsement will also reimburse for re-work expenses incurred to prevent litigation. Expenses include the recall and disposal of incorrect work, and the redistribution of corrected material.
Printers Errors & Omission coverage must be purchased as a prerequisite to buying Correction of Work coverage. Limits are available up to $500,000 per occurrence and $500,000 aggregate.
