A panel of eight renowned industry judges has been established to independently score each nomination. The 2011 Business Transformation Award will be presented on Wednesday, March 23rd, at 5:00 pm in conjunction with the Transform! 2011 Conference.
Frank Romano Quote
“Successful printers are transforming their business. They are applying the Internet and digital printing in all forms and expanding into new value-added services,” notes Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus, RIT. “It is more than just machines and software — it is a re-invention of the printing business for the 21st century. The Business Transformation Award recognizes those enterprises who are creating the future of the graphic communication industry.”
Award Judging Criteria
The core objective is to honor and promote businesses that have transformed through expansion, acquisition, or intellectual business strategy. Or have transformed their segment or industry through technological application. The judging will not be extended to industry software or hardware vendors. The basis for judging will focus upon:
ü The originality of the transformation;
ü The positive change in the success of the business;
ü Impact of the transformation on the business’ customers;
ü How the transformation impacts future development;
ü How their business transformation impacted their local community at large.
Industry Transformation
For corporate leaders, the transformation of a business entity is inevitable. Market requirements are constantly evolving, usually in lock-step with technological advancements. Firms that resist change are often the first to fall to the wayside, and overtaken by their competition. But the transformation process is usually an industry secret, only really recognized many years later in the wake of new market revolutions.
Questex, in co-operation with the Transform! 2011 conference, aims to recognize industry innovators and leaders that have recently taken the steps to transform their businesses. This recognition will not only bring widespread understanding of the value of transformation, but industry wide attention to the outstanding leadership and management skills of the executive management teams from the award winners. This recognition is also extremely valuable to marketing departments seeking further evidence to differentiate their innovative companies in the marketplace.
