DirectSmile gives centre stage to new cross media solutions at Grafische Vakbeurs 2011
Tuesday 18. January 2011 - Leading supplier of variable data printing (VDP) and cross media marketing software, DirectSmile, will be exhibiting for the second year at Grafische Vakbeurs in Gorinchem, Netherlands (1st - 3rd February 2011). Alongside a wide array of solutions for all aspects of generating and integrating variable content, the stand (159) will highlight the latest product innovations from DirectSmile including Cross Media Designer (part of Cross Media 4.0) and DirectSmile Image Server.
Launched last month, DirectSmile Image Server is the most recent addition to the DirectSmile portfolio. Offering high-volume image personalisation for more effective one-to-one communications and personalised products, it was developed specifically for those currently using variable content across different media channels. Compatible with all major software products for variable-data printing (VDP), transactional and transpromotional personalisation, DirectSmile Image Server provides a scalable solution that fits easily within an existing operation to deliver the additional impact of unique, personalised images.
According to Hans van Neutegem, Sales Manager for DirectSmile in the BeNeLux, this latest multifunctional software solution incorporates all the different elements required for successful execution of a complex, personalised campaign. “The DirectSmile Image Server combines creative flexibility with intelligent architecture and a series of features required for streamlined production, such as job prioritisation functionalities and high-speed image rendering even at maximum capacity. It’s the perfect system for enabling a company already conversant in large-scale variable data print production to take the next step in its product and service offering.”
Also recently introduced to market, DirectSmile’s Cross Media Designer enables users to produce personalised e-mail campaigns and PURLs easily from one central database without any knowledge of html coding. Part of the Cross Media 4.0 suite, its integrated approach means that one person can build an entire campaign without having to coordinate external service providers with different skills – such as graphic design, data management or web design – or running the risk of losing vital data when working with several copies of a database. Featuring drag-and-drop functionality, with the ability to collect and manage digital assets, preview designs and interrogate recipient databases significantly, Cross Media Designer has opened up an entire discipline to professionals who previously did not have access to the html knowledge required to produce high-impact digital marketing campaigns.
For DirectSmile, this year’s repeat participation at Grafische Vakbeurs marks a year of very positive development for the company, having achieved significant success in the Dutch market since its first exhibit. A number of high-profile creative companies in the Netherlands have adopted innovative DirectSmile technology during this time, including leading, international online greetings card provider, Greetz.
“The Dutch are among the most technologically imaginative and innovative of nations, and they have responded well to DirectSmile’s commitment and dedication to this market,” comments Hans van Neutegem. “Grafische Vakbeurs will once again provide them with the opportunity to explore the full capabilities of DirectSmile solutions first-hand, attended by technicians with the highest expertise able to explain the intricacies and fine detail of all the products. I think many visitors to the stand will be astonished at the possibilities for product and service differentiation that are within their easy reach.”
