Viscom 2010: Neschen receives Superstar Award for Expolinc counter solution

Two in one: Premium presentation counter for pop-ups and other portable display systems is also a high-quality transport case. During Viscom 2010 in Frankfurt, ‘Display’ magazine awarded Neschen the silver Superstar Award 2010 for a new Point of Sale (PoS) system designed for short-term use (up to 3 months). The design of the elegant, open presentation counter comes from the Neschen partner, Expolinc – a manufacturer of display systems based in Sweden.
Counter and transport case in one
The premium plastic case is equipped with stable rollers for ease of transport and rapidly converts into an inviting counter at the point of use. Advertising graphics can be applied to the front of the counter for promotional purposes and the removable shelves are used to store brochures, leaflets or flyers. Once the current promotion is over, all elements including the hinged counter panel can be safely stowed away in the 196 litre capacity case. The case is then once again the ideal transport means for the pop-ups and accessories to their next use.

This was the 17th Superstar competition, which has been taking place since 1998, issuing awards for the most creative ideas around PoS. This year was the first time the competition took place at the Viscom and it was held in a separately designed exhibition area: “DISPLAY / PoS World”. The Superstar was one of the highlights there from 4th to 6th November 2010.
Together with Expolinc, Neschen has once again developed a successful model. It is available in Germany through specialist retailers.
Interview with Friedrich Drinkuth, Senior Product Manager at Neschen, on the excusive partnership with Expolinc
Question: Neschen is the exclusive distributor in Germany for the display systems of Swedish manufacturer Expolinc. Why did you choose this company in particular?
Friedrich Drinkuth: To be honest, I scarcely know of any other company whose display products are so visually appealing and yet extremely stable. If we then factor in the carefully thought-out design, good quality and outstanding finishing – and all that at affordable prices – you will appreciate we have an unbeatable combination.
Question: The systems come from Expolinc and the printed banner media from Neschen. So you think the collaboration of experts in their respective fields is the ideal combination?
Friedrich Drinkuth: Exactly. However, it’s not just about quality and design. Another very important factor in this cooperation is the close, supportive collaboration which has developed between the two companies over the course of more than 20 years.
Question: How is this particularly illustrated? Can you give us some examples?
Friedrich Drinkuth: We exchange views and ideas regularly. Meetings are held on a rotational basis, many display systems are designed precisely to our specifications or are modified to meet our requirements.
Question: The optimum system for every presentational purpose and application. How is that guaranteed?
Friedrich Drinkuth: As already said, the high-quality hardware comes from Expolinc in the form of roll-ups, pop-ups or the L-Banner system. We then provide the appropriate application in the form of print media which have been specially developed for the particular printing method. This selection ensures that users receive the system package best suited functionally to their individual requirements.
