Tectonic International will show their V5 plate mounting machine and K2 inspection system
Thursday 18. November 2010 - Tectonic International, pioneer in 2001 of the patented "hands-free" concept of plate mounting incorporating a rotating plate-bed, is a leading manufacturer of quality assurance systems for the web processing industry.
Its product range includes Print Inspection Systems, Auto-register Controllers, Plate Mounting Machines, Colour Monitoring Systems, Code Readers and 100% inspection all of which are successfully installed around the globe and supported by its competent, mature agent network.
Its patented FLEXICO V5 plate-mounting machine was the first of its kind in the world to provide hands-free mounting of plates using a “rotating” rise and fall plate table and a holding clamp so that the printer does not have to hold the plate in his hands throughout the mounting process (which is the traditional way). LED lighting is included along with colour cameras, brilliant targets and TFT monitors which provide the excellent picture quality necessary for perfect registration. It is a very accurate and easy to use machine. Customers report a 20% saving on waste when using our V5 because of the V5s accuracy.
K2colour-check is unique to Tectonic and the company believes it is the only low-cost system available on the market which includes colour-monitoring. Using the proven, robust colour monitoring algorithms developed for our state-of-the-art print inspection system JAGUAR, we offer the printer and manager, a simple to use system capable of measuring and displaying the colour stability of the print process. It really is as simple as selecting the region of interest and letting the K2colour-check do the rest. Also available as an upgrade on K2 is another industry first, IMAGE TRANSFER when on-demand images of the “live” print-run are transferred from an installed K2 to networked PCs for inspection by nominated personnel. K2it is not just a quality control tool for the printer but allows management to monitor and store images from each and every print run for improved quality and productivity.
