Mühlbauer presents cost-optimized personalization solution for credit and EMV cards

Friday 12. November 2010 - New SCP 800/EMV exhibited for the first time at Cartes Paris 2010

The Mühlbauer Group, leading technology partner for the Smart Card, ePassport and RFID industries, will present for the first time its new card personalization solution SCP 800/EMV at Cartes Paris which takes place from 7th to 9th December 2010. The new solution is a landmark concept with an excellent cost-benefit ratio. The machine stands out due to a strictly cost-efficient and modular design, latest technology, maximum operator and service friendliness and perfect quality. For an optimum integration into existing environments, SCP 800/EMV can be equipped with the proven open personalization platform Mühlbauer MCES. The system can also be combined with a complete production and personalization management system such as Mühlbauer INCAPE. Therefore, SCP 800/EMV can be integrated optimally into Mühlbauer’s turnkey solution for bank card applications.
Since 1996 Mühlbauer is a worldwide preferred supplier for personalization systems for bank card applications and offers a complete bank card solution including data preparation, HSM and production and personalization management from a single source. SCP 800/EMV is a result of years of intensive technical and software development efforts. The system has been developed with the maxim to highest cost efficiency. The design is simple and strictly cost driven, but nevertheless provides best accessibility and stability. The core is Mühlbauer’s proven matrix embossing unit with indent print and tipping station. With a throughput of up to 800 UPH, SCP 800/EMV ideally meets the requirements of mid range personalization or is also suitable as backup system for high volume personalization centers.
The new card personalization solution SCP 800/EMV will be presented at this year’s Cartes at Paris at
booth no. 4G052. An EMV software specialist is also available on the booth to give information about customized solutions. Additionally, Mühlbauer’s mobile data enrollment suitcase getID MOBILE for biometrical data enrollment and a new solution for the personalization of ID cards are shown. Furthermore, the Mühlbauer RFID experts will be on site to inform about RFID inlay and label production, application development and know-how transfer.
