Atlantic Zeiser to Demonstrate Turnkey Card Personalization, Mailing and Management Solution at CARTES 2010

Wednesday 10. November 2010 - Atlantic Zeiser has chosen CARTES 2010 to unveil a modular, turnkey system that puts card manufacturers in the driver's seat. From creation and production through management and mailing, Atlantic Zeiser is the one-stop shop for efficient, high quality and cost-effective card personalization, card finishing, card mailing and lifecycle management.

Atlantic Zeiser Group, a global technology leader in card personalization, today announced it will be demonstrating a fully integrated approach to card personalization, card management and fulfillment at CARTES 2010, scheduled for December 7th through 9th in Paris. This one-stop approach for card manufacturers offers flexibility, exceptional support and the ability to easily expand and grow, including ease of introduction of new applications as they begin to reach the market. The platform can be expanded with modules allowing both instant issuance and card lifecycle management.

Atlantic Zeiser’s PERSOLINE is a powerful and versatile platform that can be easily configured with a wide range of system modules to handle specific applications. PERSOLINE is a very flexible high volume personalization solution for the most complex, graphical and electrical personalization needs. With its unique full color ink-jet printing module it offers significantly lower cost for consumables and higher speed in comparison to alternative solutions for low personalization cost per card. Target markets are ID cards like government & corporate, driving licenses and healthcare cards, flat financial cards, SIM cards / Pay-TV cards and access control cards.
PERSOMAIL is a versatile, compact and cost efficient solution for automated card mailing in the middle performance segment. It combines the greatest flexibility of application and absolute processing security for mid-range production volumes or also as a backup for existing high performance systems. Personalized cards can be fed at random as an integrated printer personalizes the card carriers on demand. Cut sheet printers with several paper trays allow for selective draw-off of different forms. After card attaching, the inserting unit folds the card carriers, accumulates multi-page sets and selectively adds up to six enclosures. Finally the mailpieces are inserted into envelopes.
VERSAMAIL is a modular and cost efficient finishing and mailing system for a wide variety of applications ranging from simple card attaching up to more complex attach & match or attach & personalize jobs required for Financial PrePaid Card packaging or envelope-less Loyalty Card mailing. VERSAMail offers a running speed of up to 28’000 products per hour while still allowing a high degree of flexibility and a low cost of ownership through short setup times and simple operation with a short learning curve. High attach precisions are achieved using special Atlantic Zeiser designed Pick & Place feeders. VERSAMail offers various folding options and allows inline high quality carrier printing of variable data like numbers, barcodes and addresses. The VERSAMail provides Card Fulfillment Perso Bureaus with new service opportunities and enables them to cost-effectively boost their productivity in the booming markets for card packaging and card mailing.
Atlantic Zeiser’s PMP Software Platform – Going beyond data management
The modular concept not only allows for adjusting to individual customer requirements within the software but is also capable of implementing production systems of different manufacturers. Taking the strict security regulations within the card market into consideration all software products were developed according to international standards.
PMP Platform also includes:
· PMP-production manages the entire process of card production, beginning with the delivery of card material, booking into the system, performing various production steps and tracking the delivery to a warehouse or agent for a smooth and seamless card fulfillment process.
· PMP-instant. Cards can be issued on the fly using a desktop application with the highest level of security. For example, a new banking customer could set up an account and get his personalized payment card right away, including the addition of a photo to the card.
· PMP-lifecycle -With a growing trend toward multi-application cards, the post-issuance phase in the lifecycle of a card offers new business opportunities for card issuers and manufacturers to play a role in activating new applications, changing application parameters and more. PMP-Lifecycle makes the administration of multi-application cards transparent and convenient. All actions taken during the life of a card are documented, from manufacturing to scrapping. Update information for card chips can be made available in any suitable way: over the air, at an ATM or terminal, at a PC, etc.
