KUKA ROBOTICS REVEALS AREVOLUTIONARY ROBOTIC SYSTEM AND WILL HOLD A REVOLUTION DAILY GIVEAWAY AT PACK EXPO CHICAGO 2010

Wednesday 03. November 2010 - Discover the Revolution from KUKA Roboticsin booth N-4641 at PACK EXPO Chicago,October 31st - November 3rd 2010

Thanks to the collaboration between KUKA Robotics and Rockwell Automation, the latest and greatest innovation of a new robotic technology with ONE controller, is to be presented to packaging and palletizing consumers on the most dynamic show floor at PACK EXPO 2010.
“The industry has been asking for a system like this for years and we are proud to be delivering the first ever unified controller,” states James Cooper, Vice President Sales and Marketing, KUKA Robotics Corporation. “It was all made possible through an integrated robotic solution, allowing the KUKA PA Robot Arm Series to be controlled directly from a Rockwell Automation ControlLogix controller.”
Together, the technology offers an open architecture system with only one programming environment (RSLogixTM 5000) and one programmable automation controller (the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix controller) for an entire machine control. The revolutionary system provides greater productivity gains across the life cycle of a machine, simplification of the automation architecture through standardization of control components all the while reducing company’s overall footprint and providing a familiar user-machine interface.
The unified controller will be present at KUKA (booth # N-4641) and system partners, Pearson Packaging Systems (booth # S-2206) and Intelligrated (booth # S-2266), booths at the show. Through joint efforts, the companies have created a Revolution Daily Giveaway offering attendees a chance to win an iPad by visiting all three participating exhibitor booths. A punch card, available at each participating booth location and printable at www.kukarevolution.com, allows attendees to get the card “punched” by all three exhibitors to be entered into the giveaway.
Along with the lastest revolutionary launch and giveway, KUKA will provide in-booth robotic demonstrations of the KR 40 PA showing the Rockwell Automation-based Solution (Revolution Cell), KR 100 PA Low Cost Palletizer Cell provided by FleetwoodGoldcoWyard AMBEC (“FGWA” a Barry Wehmiller Company), KR 180 PA showing Bag Palletizing, and KR 700 PA Static Handling Wine Barrel. Other in-booth demonstrations will be provided by KUKA’s additional partners including Pearson Packaging Systems (booth # S-2206), FGWA (booth #800), Intelligrated (booth #S-2266), Automated Motion (booth #3445), SJI-Busse Arrowhead (booth #4421), ATI (booth #4850), Dyco (booth #1558), and Schmalz (booth #1088), showcasing a total of 12 robotic demonstrations on the show floor.
In addition, Executives, Managers, Supervisors, Project Managers, Engineers, and Purchasing Agents who are charged with tasks of streamlining their company’s secondary manufacturing operations are also invited to join KUKA and Pearson Packaging Systems for a two session seminar series to be held on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010 in the South Hall, Level 1, Meeting Room S-103bc.
The first session titled, “The Next Evolution of Robotics is Here” is focused on educating attendees on the new and revolutionary PAC run robot system. Areas of interest will be centered on the key benefits including the technology platform and application options from machine builders.
The second session, “Learning how the Next Evolution of Robotics affects your choices of Top Load Case Packing Solutions,” offers information on costs and what consumer packaged goods manufactures can expect for ROI.
