Systech and Marchesini Showcase Complete Serialization Line at Pack Expo 2010
Thursday 28. October 2010 - Pharmaceutical manufacturers can view a complete packaging environment for serialization in real-time production mode
Systech International, innovator of Packaging Execution Systems (PES), and Marchesini Group, leader in labeling technology, today announced that they are showcasing their integrated platform for global serialization requirements at Pack Expo 2010 in Chicago on October 31st. Pharmaceutical manufacturers at the show will get a first-hand look at an end of packaging line demonstration for serialization.
The Systech-Marchesini offering consists of Systech’s Serialized Product Tracking solution (SPT) integrated with Marchesini’s labeler and case packer. While viewing the solution in action at booth 4457, visitors will see a full serialization line operating as it would in a real world scenario. This includes item-level serialization using Datamatrix bar codes, item aggregation and case serialization, as well as manual pallet building and other Systech off-line applications, including post-lot rework, QA, and transfer shipment. The line will also be available for customer demonstrations at Marchesini’s facility in Caldwell, NJ.
“A growing number of countries are implementing serialization regulations, adding new challenges to packaging environments,” states Joe Ringwood, COO, Systech International. “Systech and Marchesini have worked together for years to provide manufacturers with the solutions they need to efficiently meet the industry’s evolving demands. Manufacturers who personally view our serialization capabilities will directly see how our solutions enable them to effectively address today’s global diverse requirements.”
The Systech-Marchesini solution has already been deployed by top pharmaceutical manufacturers around the globe. The solution can easily and quickly accommodate changes and respond to new demands, including serialization initiatives such as authentication and track and trace. As a result, manufacturers can promptly address evolving requirements anywhere in the world while controlling total cost of ownership.
“Adding serialization technology represents a significant change for the packaging environment,” notes Piero Tomasi, Commercial Director at Marchesini Group. “What’s more, global regulations are fast approaching, leaving manufacturers with a small window for implementation. Leveraging our combined experience and knowledge, Systech and Marchesini have developed an integrated solution that manufacturers can easily and quickly deploy to multiple global sites. Manufacturers can rest assured that they will meet regulations without disrupting the efficiency of their packaging operations.”
