Niceware Announces Web-Based Barcode Label Printing Platform

Friday 22. October 2010 - Niceware International is excited to announce the release of NiceLabel Portal, a new browser-based barcode label printing platform. NiceLabel Portal enables an organization to host and centrally control internal and vendor labeling compliance that is accessible on the web, locally or globally.

NiceLabel Portal is a web browser-based solution that does not require custom software to be installed on a desktop and can be accessed from any location that has a connection to the intranet or internet. NiceLabel Portal allows the user to simply click a browser link and print a label. This simplicity is the key to lowering the total cost of ownership of barcode labeling systems. The ability to centrally control label design and user access minimizes support requirements associated with local client installations and duplicate label designs.
NiceLabel Portal also is printer agnostic on the client side. Print technologies such as thermal and laser can both be used by print users, without the need to maintain multiple label designs server side. If a label’s design changes, a simple change on the server provides a global labeling change to all system users. Detailed print logging ensures that all label transactions are recorded for auditing.
“In the past, on-demand label printing meant having to install software on every client that needed printing,” said Lee Patty, Vice President – Marketing at Niceware. “NiceLabel Portal removes the need to install software at every client and allows administrators to centrally manage all aspects of a barcode printing solution. The end result is a solution that can be used on a global level for internal and vendor label compliance for GS1 and other compliance standards.”
