Wednesday 22. September 2010 - RTtrust exhibits its unique print-identification and authentication system at Photokina 2010.
With adoption of its unique print-identification and authentication system spreading, ARTtrust is listening to its customers and evolving its operations and benefits to photographers and artists worldwide.
Exhibiting at Photokina
ARTtrust showcases its solution at Photokina, the world’s largest photography tradeshow, September 21-26, 2010, in Cologne, Germany. ARTtrust will give continuous and live demonstrations as part of the Hewlett-Packard (HP) booth in Hall 4.1 Stand J045.
Access, Distribution, Pricing, and Membership Changes
As valuable partners in the artistic process, labs, printmakers and galleries may now offer ARTtrust tags and also enter print/image/edition information to the ARTtrust Online website on behalf of the artist. The artist can now delegate certain administrative functions to agents, gallery or any other partner, yet still maintains control by solely certifying the work and the related data. The unit price per tag set is 15 Euros each, however the minimum purchase amount has been reduced to 10 tag sets. Plus, there is no longer a membership card requirement, which enables artists to immediately identify and authenticate prints.
Momentum
· In Paris, well-known Galerie VU’ is working on ARTtrust integration in their processes and workflow. A number of joint initiatives will take place in November in Paris.
· As part of its global reach, ARTtrust announces agreement with PAE Art, private collection of Chinese Photography based in Beijing and Zurich which will use ARTtrust to protect and authenticate their assets.
What Is ARTtrust?
Used by photographers/artists, printmakers, labs, galleries, and buyers/collectors, ARTtrust provides a unique identity to any artwork or edition (photography, painting, architecture plan, sculpture, drawing, etc.). ARTtrust is a self-certification system controlled by artists. Thus, artists protect their work and copyrights while guaranteeing the authenticity of the artwork to the buyer. The system comprises two elements: (1) 3 tag set: a silver tag for the artwork, a gold tag for a certificate of authenticity, and a blue tag to be kept by the artist for reference; and (2) the website www.ARTtrustOnline.com, which allows artists to access their personal account to save their artwork, and for buyers to authenticate a participating artist’s work.
ARTtrust was incubated at HP. HP remains a key partner but ARTtrust is not dependant on any particular technology.
ARTtrust was developed and approved by Wilhelm Imaging Research for printing.
