THE NEW UV SYSTEM MBS-5 INKJET

Monday 21. June 2010 - From 18th to 25th May of this year IST METZ showed the new MBS-5 Inkjet UV system at the printing industry’s leading international trade fair IPEX in Birmingham.

The MBS-5 Inkjet UV system has been specially developed for high-speed inkjet applications with a high power requirement. A 270 W/cm lamp system guarantees optimum curing of the inks. The compact design allows easy integration of the UV unit into printing systems and production lines. Once again, URS technology has been used as a basis for optimum adaptation of the reflectors. In standby mode, the reflector closes and shuts off the rays to the web completely. The switching and control unit enables different types of control to be implemented via Profibus or Ethernet. The cordless FLC UV lamp system enables lamps to be changed quickly and easily. All standard lamp doping is also available with the FLC lamp system, thus enabling optimum adaptation of the lamp spectrum to the paint formulation used with no problems.
