Hexion Specialty Chemicals Announces Price Increases For North American Coatings Resins

Thursday 25. March 2010 - Effective April 20, 2010, or as contracts allow, Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc.’s North America Coatings business will implement price increases on the following product lines:

Vinyl Acrylic Latexes $0.03 per wet pound
Acrylic & Styrene-Acrylic Latexes $0.07 per wet pound
Solution Acrylic Resins Up to $0.20 per pound
Liquid Polyester Resins Up to $0.15 per pound
Polyester Powder Resins Up to $0.12 per pound
Modified Alkyds Up to $0.08 per pound
All other Alkyds Up to $0.07 per pound


These price changes are necessary due to the limited availability and significant ongoing cost escalation of key raw materials used in the production of these coating resins.
