Color Alliance opens new premises

Thursday 04. February 2010 - 330 square meter former factory building offers ample space for extensive LFP training

The demand for knowledge in the field of large format digital printing is considerable. New printers, inks and printing media are being launched constantly and the inkjet market is changing rapidly. With that in mind, Color Alliance (CA), provider of LFP (large format printing) system solutions, will be conducting practical training and seminars in the future under the motto ‘By professionals for professionals’.

The training is directed at final users and printing service providers as well as distributors and agencies. For a prerequisite for high-quality printing is high-quality print data. André Kapsa, CEO of Color Alliance in Vlotho, is well aware that: “The best medium and the best printer are useless if the print data are poor.” Continuous training is therefore essential, and with it users are always up-to-date.

Earlier this year, the LFP specialist converted a factory building of about 330 square meters into spacious training and meeting rooms, which boast a loft-like character. In addition to an attractive and professionally equipped training room for theoretical training, CA has also not neglected the practical aspect: popular LFP printing systems with RIP software from numerous manufacturers as well as measurement equipment and print media are available for testing directly in the premises.

Color Alliance’s planned training program will be the first on the market to address the entire LFP work flow: from the creation of print data and software training across color management and printing technology through to processing and application-related courses, such as wallpaper printing, hanging inkjet non-woven wallpaper and canvas/flexface processing. Special topics such as questions of law in the printing industry or the use of Web-to-Print software by companies or printing service providers round off the training program.

“What began in the 1970s with slow and technically limited plotters, has evolved into a diverse and innovative industry: large format inkjet printing,” said André Kapsa. “Since this dynamic environment is constantly moving forward, professional training is much in demand.”
