Pakready at Packaging Innovations/Packtech
Tuesday 22. December 2009 - Pakready will demonstrate its latest solution for the production of short-run boxes, specialty packaging and POS collateral at Packaging Innovations. The Pakready system produces lifelike simulations of packaging and POS items in a fraction of the time normally taken, saving valuable time and materials in the process. With all images and graphics in position, prototypes can be created in vibrant full colour to the final size for design reviews and marketing trials.
According to Derek Sizer, the newly appointed MD of Pakready, “The creation of packaging prototypes, which have the look and feel of the final pack, is increasingly important to packaging developers. The need has been driven recently by the shorter times to market of consumer goods and the preponderance of special offers in food and beverages created to counter the recession.”
The solution to be shown at Packaging Innovations is built around powerful, state-of-the-art design, printing and cutting tools, making it quick and easy to create innovative packaging designs, view them in 3-D, apply the designs to board and precision cut the result ready for mock-up and presentation within hours.
“Products from small pharmaceutical boxes to large POS and POP can now meet the challenge of increasingly tight deadlines,” states Sizer. “In addition to packaging prototypes, many of our customers run marketing trials with true-to-life packs produced on Pakready systems. The resilient nature of our process produces litho-like quality on a wide variety of substrates, with a rub resistance’ that is far better than conventional inkjet imaging. As a result, Pakready samples have the visual vibrancy of the final packaging and are ready for the shelf direct from the system. This can shave valuable time and cost from the go-to-market’ process for a wide range of goods that depend on the quality of their packaging for their appeal.”
