Post Register in Idaho Falls signs to install DTI Advertising in DTI Cloud

Wednesday 18. November 2009 - DTI Cloud brings a strategic advantage to the Post Register

The Post Register in Idaho Falls, ID, has reached an agreement with Digital Technology International (DTI) to host their DTI Advertising solution in DTI Cloud, the company’s SaaS offering.

“We are long-time customers of DTI, but we wouldn’t be moving forward with the company’s cloud technology if we weren’t convinced that it’s the right long-term solution for us,” said Roger Plothow, editor and publisher of the Post Register. “More than allowing us to focus on our core competencies of local news and advertising, the suite of DTI products makes it possible for us to pursue entirely new business models.”

DTI Cloud will give the Post Register an increase in operational efficiencies and better day-to-day functionality, something they needed to compete in today’s market.

“In today’s media environment, it is imperative to change our ways of doing things, which has included consolidating resources,” said Dan Moore, director, IT, Post Register. “DTI Cloud meets many of the considerable business challenges this market has. It makes sense that we would need to offload a great deal of the hardware and software management. We have to change our infrastructure to meet up with demands of the market. DTI Cloud brings us such a strategic advantage.”

DTI Cloud gives the Post Register a simpler system that will lower their costs, and increase revenue. There is no need for the Post Register to replace servers, and maintenance support is covered by DTI. They will always have the latest version of DTI Advertising rather than waiting to upgrade.

“Upgrades for many of our critical systems cannot be overlooked, but neither can our cash position. We hope by investing in this technology we can really focus on our content, clients, and business, and let DTI worry about the daily management and upkeep,” said Moore. “I’d like to see more software companies head towards a cloud computing platform.”

“The Post Register is a visionary news group that understands the role technology must play in the industry today,” said Dan Paulus, vice president, sales, DTI. “This agreement was an easy choice for them; this isn’t a capital purchase and they will see immediate financial benefits. DTI Cloud is revitalizing the media industry and the Post Register recognizes that. “
