At the 9th edition of Pharmapack, ALP VISION and SCANWARE will showcase their innovations and latest developments to help pharmaceutical companies to ensure better drug safety.

Anti-counterfeit Fingerprint solutions exhibited for the first time in Europe.
Alpvision, a leader in the supply of invisible solutions for protection against counterfeiting, will be exhibiting at Pharmapack 2010 for the first time, showing the full range of its solutions applied to pharmaceutical products. In parallel with the presentation entitled “Low-cost effective invisible anti-counterfeiting solutions to protect primary, secondary packaging and labels” to be made at the show, describing the pharmaceutical applications for the Cryptoglyph invisible marking technology, which is already largely proven on more than a billion protected items around the world, AlpVision will present its Fingerprint solutions, for the first time in Europe, providing identification of original products without any additional marking. These solutions are applied to the tablets themselves as well as to a large variety of packaging that contain moulded or injected parts, such as the closures of jars, auto-injection systems or other containers. Ordinary office flatbed scanners or mobile telephone cameras are sufficient to instantly verify whether a product is an original or a fake. AlpVision supplies these solutions in the form of licences and software installed in the original manufacturers IT systems for production management.

Pharmaceutical quality control system in three dimensions
Scanware has recently launched LYNX-SPECTRA 3D, the first pharmaceutical quality control system in three dimensions in the world. The process offers particular advantages for low-contrast testing tasks such as recognising deformation and fragments.
