MeadWestvaco Corporation Prices Offering of Notes
Tuesday 18. August 2009 - MeadWestvaco Corporation (NYSE: MWV) today announced that it has priced an offering of $250 million aggregate principal amount of 7.375% Notes due 2019 (the "Notes"). The offering is expected to close on Monday, August 24, 2009, subject to customary closing conditions.
MWV intends to apply all or a portion of the net proceeds from the Notes offering toward the payment of the purchase price in a tender offer, which it announced today, for up to $250 million in aggregate principal amount of its 6.85% Notes due 2012 and for general corporate purposes.
