Chuck Bennett Rejoins IMG

Tuesday 11. August 2009 - 28-Year Veteran to Assume New Responsibilities

IMG Worldwide, the global sports, entertainment and media company, today announced that Chuck Bennett, who resigned earlier this year as head of IMG’s Fashion business, is rejoining the company in an entirely new role. Effective immediately, Mr. Bennett will assume the newly created position of Senior Advisor to the Chairman and CEO for Special Projects, reporting directly to Ted Forstmann, IMG’s Chairman and Chief Executive.
“Ted Forstmann has continued to develop a number of unbelievably exciting business ventures around the world,” Mr. Bennett said. “Projects like IMG’s exclusive 20-year joint venture with CCTV in China, among others, have the potential to be truly transformational and provide enormous growth opportunities to IMG going forward. The chance to be a part of these developments, in a very different role, is something I am very excited about. I am looking forward to my new responsibilities and to making a significant contribution to Ted’s vision for IMG in the future,” Mr. Bennett concluded.
“I am very pleased to have Chuck back,” Ted Forstmann said. “During his tenure as the head of IMG’s Model and Fashion Businesses he grew those businesses substantially, making them leaders in their industries. I am delighted that he recognizes the tremendous international potential we have to make IMG a much larger and much more profitable company. Chuck’s proven entrepreneurial talents will help us achieve that goal,” Mr. Forstmann said.
Before leaving the company in February 2009, Mr. Bennett had been with the company for 28 years. During his career he had worked in IMG’s Tennis and Broadcasting businesses, and served as Interim Head of the Tennis Division in 2006. He assumed responsibility for IMG’s Models and Fashion businesses in 1992.
Mr. Bennett will be located at the Forstmann Little/IMG headquarters office in New York City.
