PROOFING ROUNDUP STUDIES HARD AND SOFT PROOFING
Attendees will discover how suppliers faired in a comprehensive set of proofing system and software tests, and how the “real world” fared in an important marketplace examination. The webinar and written report reveal results of hard and soft proofing tests of application data sheet clarity, matching SWOP and GRACoL, gray balance, step-wedge, optical brighteners, multicolor proofing, N-color profiles, Pantone/Pantone GOE, Monitor proofing and full gamut and optimized proofs.

Among the many findings of the Proofing RoundUP, one test confirmed the IDEAlliance ISO 12647-7 control strip 2009 in its latest version is an excellent indicator of the state of proofing systems. Tests also examined the G7 method for gray-balance control for the pressroom, with results surprising even the experts. Attendees will discover how to ensure their proofing system stays in optimal operating condition with the results of the 2009 Proofing RoundUP.

JDF ROUNDUP STUDIES INTEROPERABILITY
The 2009 JDF RoundUP featured a series of tests that identified areas in which JDF integration is-and is not-working. The JDF RoundUP included an examination of the MIS to Prepress, ICS and MIS to Conventional Press ICS, and the LayCrimp test. Test results will help identify the strengths and opportunities for improvement and implementation of various JDF enabled solutions.
