Escenic Content Engine 5.0-8

Monday 06. July 2009 - This maintenance release includes various enhancements and improvements.

Group options: When content items such as stories, slideshows, etc are grouped, for instance as a “three-column” or a “wraparound group”, Escenic Content Studio users can easily set options and parameters for the group as a whole. These options and how they are presented are decided by the customer. A simple example may be “Breaking news”, which would perhaps show larger images and set the text in inverse. These options will be presented by the JSP presentation layer according to layout definitions, CSS, etc for that channel (web, mobile web, RSS, etc).
The Relax NG schemas will be shipped as part of the Escenic Content Engine distribution, allowing for easy validation of XML both manually and in IDEs.
Please note that the list of features to be included 5.0-8 is not yet finalized, and that this page will be updated.

Escenic Content Engine 5.0-8 will be released in Q3 2009.
