technotrans sets up new regional HQ in Asia Pacific
Friday 03. July 2009 - technotrans has launched a new regional HQ in Hong Kong to consolidate the Asia Pacific business activities of its parent company technotrans AG. The new structure will combine the administration and other key support services for all Asia Pacific technotrans companies under one roof, explained Ralph Pernizsak, the newly appointed "Regional Managing Director".
“This step will enable us to establish one solid, cost efficient, and successful operating company, supported by our key manufacturing and branch offices throughout the region. The support for our OEM and end user customers will be improved by faster and more efficient processes in the future”.
“Of course, by centralizing our warehouse and administration we will also reduce costs in these difficult times”, says Ralph. “However, it will also give us the opportunity to maximize our manpower and know-how for the entire region.
We will further develop our sales activities with our new set up of individual sales and service cost centers in the region. “These are exciting times and our new web products are demanding a different set up for future end user sales in the region, as well a closer communication between the sales force in the field, project management and manufacturing.”
“Our goal is to intensify end user sales to give our customers the full advantage of the technotrans expertise, and product line; coupled with first class service and consulting resources for their future projects.
After being the driving force in the setup of technotrans in Asia-Pacific in over 10 years, Vice Chairman of technotrans Asia Pacific, Rolf Zeiler, decided to step down from his active managing role. ” After over 10 years with technotrans in Asia, I achieved the objectives I set myself in the starting phase of the enterprise activities in this region. After this intensive groundwork, I always wanted to have a break, time for myself, recharge my mind and what better opportunity could be there like this restructuring, says Rolf Zeiler.
Of course his total exit from technotrans is not planed yet, he will stay close to technotrans and support the operation actively as a consultant in the future and help where his expertise and contacts are still needed, says Ralph Pernizsak. “Surely, I am thankful to count also in the future on his experience, knowledge of market and business.”
We are in the process of going a new direction and have found some interesting ways to combine our new structure with keeping the relationship to our advantage.
To move the Asia Pacific HQ to Hong Kong is strategic, says Ralph Pernizsak. “We are sure this is the right step to develop positively, despite the economic pressures we have at present in the printing industry. The Asia Pacific market forms part of our global development strategy, and this step assures all stakeholders of our continued future growth and success in the region.
