COSMOPROF NORTH AMERICA 2009 – INTERNATIONAL SAVOIR FAIRE

June 2009 - Known for presenting the best in beauty from around the world, Cosmoprof North America announces the return of several successful international programs which will take place at this years show. As an event that not only showcases the best in beauty in the Americas, Cosmoprof North America continues its mission of providing exhibitors and show attendees with a global perspective on emerging trends.
INTERNATIONAL BUYER PROGRAM
Always aware of the significance of international trade, Cosmoprof North America continues to demonstrate its commitment to the International Buyer Program and its position in the industry as the international beauty leader. For the seventh consecutive year, beauty and cosmetics companies showcasing their products at Cosmoprof North America will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one as part of pre-scheduled appointments with selected importers and distributors. The International Buyer Program enables Cosmoprof North America to be a direct and important link between US manufacturers and the vast buying power of the international beauty industry. The 2009 show will have selected buyers from Australia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Canada, Columbia, Denmark, India, Ghana, Kenya, Mexico, Senegal, Uruguay,and Romania.
The International Buyer Program is a special initiative allowing international buyers from emerging markets the opportunity to attend the show, network, and develop business opportunities to potentially import products into their respective markets. The International Buyer Program is based on the concept of one-on-one meetings prescheduled before the show, by the show organizers to allow buyers to meet a pre-selected group of exhibitors in private meeting rooms based on matching profiles of both exhibitors and buyers.
COUNTRY PAVILIONS
The 2009 show, as in years past, will designate special sections within the show floor dedicated to distinct Country Pavilions. Special signage and collateral will mark the Country Pavilions location making them easily recognizable for attendees. The Country Pavilions allow small- and medium-sized companies from within select markets to participate in the Cosmoprof North America event with the objective of obtaining direct “face-time” with distributors and retailers to secure distribution in the U.S. The support and counsel of Country Pavilion organizers allows these small- to medium- sized exhibiting companies to take part in an international trade show event in the U.S. and obtain an understanding of the North American marketplace. Additionally, the presence of Country Pavilion organizers, who are representatives of foreign cosmetic industry associations on the show floor, allow U.S. manufacturers interested in those particular markets to gain market intelligence.
