LEBANON – d2w Oxo-biodegradable Plastic Launch

Friday 29. May 2009 - Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc ("Symphony" or "the Group"), the degradable plastics and waste-to-energy Group, is pleased to announce the launch of d2w in Lebanon following the completion of a Sub-distribution Agreement ("the Agreement") with Ghanem Development & Trading SARL via Symphony’s Sharjah based distributor, Eco-Polymers.

The term of this triparty Agreement is for a period of 15 years. Deliveries of d2w product have already commenced.

The launch and presentation was held in Le Royal Hotel, Beirut on 15 May 2009 at 4:00PM EET and was attended by the Minister of Environment and the General Manager of the Ministry of Industry together with packaging producers, end users and NGOs.

Jihad Ghanem, Managing Director of Ghanem Development & Trading SARL made an initial speech, followed by Dr Antoine Karam, Minister of Environment, followed by presentations by Mr Michael Stephens, Symphony’s Technical Director, and Winston Pryce of Eco-Polymers. Ghanem Development & Trading SARL will follow up this launch with an aggressive marketing campaign in conjunction with the Ministry of Environment.
