Beiersdorf Website among Germanys Top 20
Friday 22. May 2009 - In a survey of the web pages of German stock corporations, DAX-newcomer Beiersdorf went straight into the top 20. The "IQ Corporate Website Ranking" was conducted by the website specialist Investis Flife and was carried out in Germany for the first time. Eighty companies were included in the survey and evaluated according to 188 criteria consolidated to 12 categories.
The Beiersdorf website particularly convinced in the categories “Multimedia”, “Interactivity”, and “Web 2.0”. Furthermore, the areas “Job & Career”, “Press”, and “About Us” achieved an excellent appraisal. Thus the corporate website was judged above average in half of the existing categories and ranked number seventeen ahead of DAX heavy weights such as Siemens, Volkswagen, and Deutsche Telekom.
Commenting on the survey, Investis Director Al Loehnis said “The leading websites in the index are genuinely world-class. They provide not just company detail but a broad sense of the market context and they use the strengths of the web really well in bringing their companies to life.”
Overall the DAX corporations were superior to the MDAX members of which only five made it among the top 30. But also in an international comparison the German online performances beat their competitors: Thus the websites of DAX-corporations had for instance an average lead of three points over the British DAX-equivalent FTSE100.
