Escenic Community Engine 2.6-13 released

Friday 13. March 2009 - Escenic is pleased to announce that the Escenic Community Engine 2.6-13 release is now available for download at Escenic Technet.

There have been several improvements to most of the components of Escenic Community Engine. Highlights include:

Database: Hibernate is now using JNDI and not simple DB pooling. This should improve production environment database performance and availability.
Documentation: Improved guides for both the JSP tag libraries and the install guide.
Distribution: Smaller size.
Messaging plug-in: Now also supports other identification than the user id.
Rating plug-in: More robust.
Statistics plug-in: Support for multiple article types in popularity lits, and it is now possible to extend the default implementation of ActionHistory.
Tag plug-in: Support for multiple article types in lists.
Social networking plug-in: More robust, and support for limiting and sorting notification lists.
Auth plug-in: Improved features.
Improved logging.
Significantly improved performance. of all common operations and actions.
