CutCompact(R) – reduction of volume of EPS (Styropor(R)) up to 97%!

Thursday 05. March 2009 - The CutCompact of Strautmann Umwelttechnik GmbH is a briquetting press for EPS (Styropor) with an integrated shredder. An innovative press concept allows for bale densities up to 700 kg / cbm to save transport- and logistic costs.

The performance of the integrated shredder is up to 100 kg / h. The shapes reach the 6 shredder rolls through the large filling opening (approx. 120 x 120 cm). Charging screws put the crushed material into the buffer. Next the press chamber is continuously filled with up to 30 kg / h. The material is compacted by a pressing force of 250 kN which is enabled by an innovative pressing concept.

Density of the briquettes up to 700 kg/m3 ensures fully load of trailers and sea containers with 24t. Without compaction only 800 kg / trailer and sea container would be possible.
