Wednesday 04. March 2009 - From March 10th - 13th 2009, the Anuga FoodTec in Cologne will bring the international food technology branch together for the fifth time.

The Auga FoodTec 2006, at which almost half of the 1,172 exhibitors came from overseas and where a total of 43 countries were represented, had impressively underscored its importance as the world’s leading platform for investments and information in the food and drinks processing industry. The high international level of the trade fair gave rise to dynamic, multilateral exchanges, as well as resulting in global contacts and trade.

Once again, HEINEN Freezing is among the exhibitors at this prestigious trade fair. Our 100m2 exhibition pavilion can be found in Hall 10-1 stand D 010, where visitors to the fair will be able to view numerous developments from Heinen Freezing’s now 25-year history.

“We are extremely proud of our innovative drive and market strength and would like to take the opportunity of our anniversary to demonstrate how strongly our employees identify with the company and our products. Our image campaign was developed in a common effort between management and the workforce and is a clear illustration of the Heinen Freezing corporate spirit. We are ‘the freezing people!’ – the motto you will also find on our exhibition stand.

At the Anuga FoodTec 2009, visitors will be able to view the new construction design of the arctic. a6 / 16 spiral system that the company will be exhibiting there for the first time.

In addition to the positive features already known from the flexible spiral system arctic.:
– cooler and freezer version for continuous production,
– varying band sizes and levels for numerous products and processes,
– many different versions of layout, single and twin tower systems,
– pre-assembled components for quicker installation,

it now also boasts numerous new construction features and is an effective solution:
– the arctic. as an active spiral cooler with overpressure and complete air conditioning via external air vent (fine air filter up to filter level HEPA 11, filtration efficiency 95% for suspended matter particle size >1µm)
– the arctic. as a spiral freezer with ars – active re-humidifying system to reduce desiccation losses occurring during the freezing process
– the arctic. spiral freezer with energySav option, i.e. high efficiency drives, increased housing insulation values, heat demand-oriented regulation of energy consumption and self-optimising defrost management.

The HEINEN Freezing team will be happy to explain all the features in detail to trade fair visitors.

freezepac. – it isn’t the compact., and it isn’t the arctic., but it is the perfect compromise and the ideal solution wherever capital spending decisions prioritise short construction times and demands on hygiene are high.
The new freezepac. series is – like the compact. completely pre-assembled on a frame construction – can be integrated into existing production as a single module and, owing to its completely heat-sealed insulated housing, fulfils not only the requirement of a short assembly time but also meets the challenge of exceptional hygienic conditions as are required in the fish, meat and poultry industry. What’s more, freezepac. does not require the installation of a separate foundation.
Find out at the Anuga Food Tec 2009 whether your needs would be best met by investing in the universal and flexible spiral system arctic. or in the small compact spiral system compact. and when the new freezepac. series would be the best choice. – Come over and talk to us.
At the Anuga FoodTec 2009, Heinen Freezing will also be introducing some of the company’s cooperation partners, in particular its preferred suppliers and research partners:

COSTACURTA spa – VICO – preferred supplier
At the trade fair, Heinen and Costacurta, its long time partner and supplier in the field of stainless steel belts, will be presenting a belt that Costacurta has developed for the exhibit arctic.
For the arctic. series, Heinen and Costacurta have already developed a number of stainless steel belts with band widths from 760 mm, for example the EHD1, which is characterised by its particularly high belt power transmission and extremely low weight. A number of different belts will be available at the trade fair for you to inspect, and experts will be at hand to advise you on the ideal solution for your needs. The belt can also be readily integrated into all existing systems.

Ecolab Hygiene Systems GmbH – preferred supplier
From the standard belt cleaning system, to the integrated cleaning system, to the air cooler cleaning system – the Ecolab components that are integrated into Heinen systems provide solutions for a number of different cleaning tasks and hygiene requirements. Extensive exploratory work by the two companies has resulted in the development of processes and components customised to the exact needs of the food industry with regard to cleaning agents and disinfection products. Through our on going research we ensure that the latest technological developments are applied to modify these products wherever appropriate.

ttz Bremerhaven – research partner
Successful innovation not only requires first-rate research, but also developments that are in line with market trends.
In cooperation with ttz Bremerhaven – a market oriented and independent provider of research services in the field of food technology, bio-process engineering and analytics, as well as water, energy and land use management – Heinen analyses the production relevant factors of existing products in order to develop completely new solutions and to apply new product ideas to existing processes, with the aim of continually improving production procedures.
Visitors to the trade fair can find out more about current research developments from our team in the Heinen pavilion at the Anuga FoodTec.

VeNoMo – research partner
Chlorine dioxide as a solution for the continuous disinfection of processes is an innovation that has proved to be particularly effective in the field of industrial food technology.
Owing to the highly efficient dispersion of an aerosol with the aid of ultrasonic generators, Heinen – in cooperation with VeNoMo – is able to offer a solution system, which can not only be used in the ongoing fight against germs and bacteria in the production process, but can also be used directly to increase the shelf life of individual food products. The system conforms to the German Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV 2001 i). V. m of the EC Council Directive 83/98 “on the quality of water for human consumption” (98/83/EC).
