Clarifying Decanter GCE 345 in Compact Design for the Beverage Industry
Thursday 12. March 2009 - The clarifying decanter GCE 345 in the compact class from GEA Westfalia Separator is presented for the first time at Anuga FoodTec. With a bowl diameter of 340 mm and a capacity of up to 6 m3 / h, this innovation ensures maximum separation in a very confined space.
Its good price/performance ratio makes it a very attractive proposition in the small and medium classes for the beverage industry. The decanter finds application in wineries and in fruit juice operations as a multipurpose machine for juicing, must clarification, processing of lees and must trub. The optimized decanter bowl design provides a large clarification area and consequently highest separation efficiency in all fields of application.
The GCE 345 is equipped with a special drive for automatic torque measurement and differential speed regulation. This drive features an additional secondary gear and a secondary motor. This design concept makes possible an infinitely variable differential speed regulation. The high control accuracy permits even smallest differential speeds which ensure optimum dewatering of the solids. This means, for example, maximum yields in the treatment of tank bottoms and an excellent quality of the recovered wine. Characteristic for the GCE 345 are further a good degree of efficiency, a low space requirement, apart from that the decanter is of low-maintenance and operates ecologically friendly.
