Morcor supplies Insourced Ad Production Model to NYTimes Regional Group

Wednesday 04. March 2009 - Typically, Morcor installs on average 30-35 newspaper sites per year....in 2008 we installed over 40 sites and there are some large dailies - The Houston Chronicle, The Omaha World Herald and we have setup our solution to change the newspaper workflow for multiple newspapers to be managed from a central hub....

Typically, a newspaper installs XpanceX and XpanceNET and the graphic artists use our software within the newspaper….we now have more newspapers who are moving to our ‘insourced’ model whereby all the sister newspapers are linked to a central hub and all the ads are built for all their newspapers at this central location.

NYTimes Regional Newspapers has centralized all their ad production at a central location with the use of XpanceX and XpanceNET.

XpanceX shows all the ads that are in the system for each site and where the ads are in the production cycle. Anyone at any of the dailies can ‘see’ what is required and where it is in the workflow. Ads can be repurposed throughout any of the properties.

XpanceNET, our web-based application allows advertisers to upload their ad layouts, text and graphics to the central site. The ads are built and automatically returned to the advertiser for approval.

Morcor has worked with all major newspapers and have setup their workflow in a more streamlined and more efficient workflow. Every site has saved thousands on ad production as well as proofing.
