SPECIAL ELASTOMERS FOR WEB-OFFSET BY TECNORULLI
Wednesday 04. March 2009 - During the last few years there has been a great grow-up in the field of the roto-offset press with the installation of great format new webs, with extremely high speed which have speed up the roller s coverings to severe conditions of thermal and mechanical resistance.
With high speed there are often problems about the short-lasting of rollers, and in order to avoid these serious and expensive drawbacks, Tecnorulli will introduce a new formulations of the series of coverings SAK W in the occasion of the next Grafitalia, which are characterised by an excellent physical-mechanical properties for a high yield of press results.
The new SAK W compounds are studied for preventing the it build-up heat, in fact the increasing in speed and consequential overheats provoke faster deterioration or destroying the rubbers coverings. Moreover, in modern webs each minimal error in the regulation of new rollers assembly could cause a detachment or a deterioration of the roller in the most compressed zone, so the new compounds have great elasticity that supports eventual pressures over a longer time span not uniforms.
The webs rollers are available with roundness grinding of variable profile in order to satisfy the natural cores bending.
Among the main characteristics of the renewed compounds, we remember:
Very good resistance to abrasion;
Very good elasticity and lower heat build-up;
Better easy of cleaning;
Excellent compatibility with the cleaning products;
Very good ink distribution;
More resistance to cracks and ageing.
The Tecnorulli coverings are compatible with the new ecological generation products and they are available in several hardness range for being able to cover the requirements of all kind of webs installations.
The special conformation of the molecular reticulum of all new SAK W compounds allows to reduce the time of washing and to exalt the effectiveness of the cleaning with ecological oils of series VCA.
