Official Launch of Nestle Factory and Beverage Distribution Center

Monday 02. March 2009 - Anderson, Indiana Facility is $529M Investment, Creating 435 New Jobs

In response to growing demands for two of its popular products — Nestle Nesquik Ready-to-Drink and Nestle Coffee-mate Liquid Products — the company built a factory-beverage distribution center in Anderson, Indiana, the biggest Nestle ready-to-drink aseptic products factory in the world, dedicated entirely to production of these liquid products.

— Between 2006 and 2011, Nestle will have invested $529M in over 1,000,000 square feet of factory space.
— The combined Anderson facility will have created 435 jobs, including engineering staff, technical support specialists, production associates, and warehouse staff.
— Because of new technology, the products contain less sugar than original Nesquik and Coffee-mate — improving nutritional value for consumers.
— State-of-the art factory is built according to US LEED requirements (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a third-party certification program and an internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

Nestle management will discuss how this major investment fits with the company’s Nutrition, Health and Wellness strategy, especially within the USA.
