GRAFITALIA 2009: CIVIEMME-SYSTEM PRESENTS VERTICAL LOG STACKING TECHNOLOGY

Thursday 26. February 2009 - CIVIEMME-SYSTEM as a specialist for vertical log stacking technology presents its complete product portfolio of post press solutions at Grafitalia. All products base on the proven technology of former Civiemme S.p.A. and feature high reliability as well as innovative technology.

Spare parts support for all previously installed Civiemme components is granted as well by CIVIEMME- SYSTEM.
Log stackers turn the products of the folder delivery of the web press into stable and strapped logs for further processing in saddle stitcher or perfect binder. In the CIVIEMME-SYSTEM vertical log stackers the shingled stream is processed very carefully by taking advantage of gravity. Thereby the risk of markings by driving belts is minimized. Thanks to the open architecture and the easy accessibility of the log building area, comprehensive monitoring of the log building process by the operator is ensured. The compact construction of the machine and the possibility of the single-side operation allows for a space-saving and ergonomic installation in the press room. Especially when palletizing from two or four lines onto one or two pallets, the operator-friendly configuration of the machines reduces personnel requirements and significantly increases the efficiency.
At Grafitalia the ST 280 as a cost-saving entry model, the ST 420 as a standard model and the ST 8000 as a high-end vertical log stacking solution behind high-speed and high-volume web presses are presented.
The log palletizers PL 86 and PL 86 DUAL are additionally presented as fully automated solutions for palletizing of built logs. The palletizers can be flexibly installed in front, behind or aside of the log stackers and allow for perfect integration into existing equipment in consideration of the available space in the press room. Optional log rotation and automatic feeding of empty pallets ensure the full utilization of the available space on the pallet in conjunction with a high degree of automation.
